About Lumber Depot

After building houses for many years, Chris & Peggy Rutten decided to take on the other side of the construction world – a lumberyard. Together, they’ve built a team of experts that can help bring your building dreams to life. 

They purchased the old Homestead Building Supplies inventory and moved into a temporary location while designing and building a new facility that would flow better. Chris’s experience as a contractor shaped his vision for Lumber Depot with customer service and experience at the forefront. 

Since then, we are proud to say that Lumber Depot has expanded to include our storefront with showroom and retail space, a number of warehouses, storage condos, and seven employees. 

Today, that legacy continues under the leadership of their son, Isaac Rutten, who has taken over ownership of the company. Growing up surrounded by sawdust, blueprints, and hard work, Isaac learned the business from the ground up. With his passion for innovation and dedication to quality, he’s proud to carry Lumber Depot into the future while maintaining the same hometown values his parents established.
